TCAP REVIEW
We will be reviewing and pre-teaching various skills that will be tested on the TCAP Achievement Test. Please check my website DAILY, as homework and skills taught may change depending on the amount of practice needed. Thanks for your cooperation.

Monday – TCAP Review – Grammar – Review prepositional phrases. Discuss how to distinguish between prepositions and adverbs, page 354. Complete Exercise 9 page 358 and Exercise 10 page 359, Distinguishing Between Prepositions and Adverbs. Sing the “Yankee Doodle” preposition song. (6.3.4) (6.3.11)
COLONS – Discuss the use of colons. Watch a Brain POP movie on colons. Complete Exercise 28 page 576, Supplying Colons in Sentences, and Exercise 29 page 576, Proofreading for Colons. (6.3.10)

Tuesday– TCAP Review – Complete a mini-TCAP test, which is formatted exactly as the real test will be.
Grammar – Complete a preposition word sort to review the prepositions. Sing the preposition song to the tune on “Yankee Doodle.” (6.3.4) (6.3.11)
COLONS – Discuss the use of colons. Complete Exercise 31 page 577, Using Colons. (6.3.10)
