Fiction book of your choice with at least 100 pages. (6th grade appropriate)
Due dates – Thursday, February 28, 2008 - Students will write book report in
class and begin illustrating the bookmark.
Friday, February 29, 2008 - Students will finish illustrating the bookmark in class.
1. Return this sheet by Friday, January 25, 2008, signed by a parent. (10 points)
2. Written report will include the following: (65 points)
Title and author (5 points)
Main characters (5 points)
Setting (time and place) (5 points)
3 paragraph summary of your book (45 points – 15 points per paragraph)
Your reflection – You will tell if you enjoyed the book and explain why or
why not. (5 points)
3. Bookmark – I will give you the poster paper cut to the appropriate size. Your
decorating should be colorful and neat. It should illustrate the summary you
wrote on your written report. Your bookmark must include the title and
author of your book. Your name should be on the back. (25 points total)
