Week of April 28 – May 2, 2008

Monday – Complete a quiz on vocabulary words from Prologue through Chapter 3 (20 words) of Tuck Everlasting.  Copy spelling words.  Review the main events from Prologue through Chapter 8.  Discuss characters, setting, and point of view.  Identify internal and external conflicts and make predictions as to how the conflicts will be solved. Read and discuss Chapter 9. Continue working on the character flip-book from Friday.  (6.1.3) (6.1.10) (6.1.21)

Homework – NONE

 

Tuesday – Review main events in Chapter 9 of Tuck Everlasting.  Read and discuss Chapter 10 - 11. Identify a possible theme from the novel.  Review spelling words.  Complete an activity on Sequencing Events and Matching Synonyms. Finish the character flip-book. (6.1.3) (6.1.5) (6.1.6) (6.1.10) (6.1.21) 

Homework – Character flip-book is due tomorrow

 

Wednesday – Review events from Chapters 10 – 11 of Tuck Everlasting.  Read and discuss Chapters 12 - 13.  (6.1.3)

LOGIC and Enrichment with Mrs. Triplett. 

Homework – AR TEST TOMORROW for book report

 

Thursday – Review the spelling words and the main events in Chapters 9 – 12 for quiz tomorrow.  Read and discuss Chapter 14 of Tuck Everlasting. Complete practice on finding the meaning of words through text from Chapters 8 – 10. Complete practice on fact and opinion.  Complete an AR Test in the computer lab as part of the 4th 9 weeks book report.  (6.1.3) (6.1.6) (6.1.10) (6.1.21)

Homework – Quiz tomorrow on spelling words and Chapters 9 – 12 of Tuck Everlasting

 

Friday – Complete a spelling test and a quiz on Chapters 9 – 12 of Tuck Everlasting.  Read/ review Chapters 14 – 16 (6.1.9) (6.1.21)
